Teacher
Although I was born in Harrison Arkansas, circumstances led me to attend High School and College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In 2012, I completed my Master’s degree through ASU Jonesboro.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in math and science. I also have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.I am certified in grades 1-6 and also in middle school math and science.
This is my first year at Alpena. I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade math and 9th grade Algebra I.
Before I started my teaching career, I served 5 years in the US Army. I was stationed in Alaska and Colorado. When I finished my service I moved back to Harrison and was hired to teach at Green Forest. I taught there for 15 years.
I am married to my best friend, Danny Saul. We have 4 children between us; Robby, Kareena, Clayton and Payton. Robby and Kareena are married and through them we have 3 beautiful grandchildren; Hero, Archer and Lilly. Clayton is on the coaching staff for ATU football and Payton works as a VIP waitress at the HOUSE OF BLUES in Houston TX.
Danny and I have a small farm a little north of Harrison. We raise goats, rabbits and chickens. Farm work keeps us very busy. When I have down time I love to get lost in a good book.
