I am a 2004 graduate of Valley Springs High School. I attended Valley Springs Schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Lyon College in Batesville, AR in 2008. Then, in 2012, I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Theory and Practice.
I am excited to be at Alpena High School for my 13th year of teaching, but my first year with Alpena. I will be teaching Geometry, Algebra II, Bridge to Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus this year.
My previous 12 years of teaching experience was at Valley Springs High School starting in 2008. While in college, I served as a math tutor for classmates and underclassmen.
I got married in 2017 to a man named Micheal Thomas. We have not been blessed with any children yet. We do not even have any pets right now. A puppy may be in our future, but just have not found the right one for us yet.
A nice scenic road trip with my husband or spending time with family is very relaxing for me. I also like to put puzzles together and play card or board games.
