Alpena School Mission/Vision Survey

Alpena School District is in the process of rewriting our school vision and mission statements so that they reflect our current reality and best supports our students. A vision statement is what we want the future of Alpena School District to look like for all learners, while a mission statement outlines the steps that we take to ensure that we reach our vision. We encourage former students, community members, and parents to engage in this process with us by answering the following questions. We would like our new vision and mission statements to be reflective of the entire community and we value the input that community members have for the school district.

Welcome to the Alpena School District!

The Division of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) has adopted Marzano Research’s High Reliability Schools framework to support school improvement across the state. To support the implementation of this framework, the DESE requests that students, parents, staff, and administrators at Arkansas schools respond to the following survey. Respondents will be asked to provide feedback regarding instruction, student and staff feedback and evaluation, and supports for staff. This survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Thank you for participating!

The Alpena School District, nestled in the town of Alpena, is a public school district, located in Boone County, Arkansas, serving approximately 550 students from Boone, Carroll and Newton counties.  The Alpena Elementary School nurtures students while providing interactive learning opportunities for students preschool through sixth grade and Alpena High School engages students in grades seventh through twelfth grades. The high school partners with local colleges, universities and technical centers to provide the best opportunities for students in order to be college and career ready, whether it be through local credit, concurrent credit or digital learning experiences.  The Alpena School District is fully accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education and employs nearly ninety professionals and staff members who work collaboratively, placing student needs first.

Together, as ONE COMMUNITY, we work and learn together, on ONE CAMPUS and have ONE CAUSE - to ensure that ALL LEARNERS are PARTICIPATING, ENGAGED, NURTURED and ACHIEVING.
