Open System Preferences and go to Keyboard:

Select the Shortcuts tab. Make sure the box for "Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls" is checked.

Open Safari Preferences:

Select the Advanced tab. Make sure the box for "Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage" is checked.

5^th grade students are all playing songs that you should be able to recognize.

If they are loud and high sounding, they are blowing too hard/fast into the instrument. They should sound fairly mellow.

The students should be able to play the same note 4 times in a row without taking a breath. They should learn how to tongue (touch the tip of the tongue to the recorder to stop air while continuing the air stream) on the recorder.
